Carbine 2 - LE/Military
Carbine 2 is a 2-day course that continues the shooter's development in carbine operations with several demanding courses of fire. A review of basic marksmanship fundamentals starts the course, which rapidly moves towards practical applications of tactics and courses of fire that challenge the shooter. Target Identification, movement, multiple targets, speed shooting and transitions are heavily focused upon in this course. This course will include the introduction of low light shooting techniques and tactics. Course is geared towards the AR-15/M4 weapons class.
- Round count: 1000 min. rifle / 200 handgun
- Rifle with sling
- Duty belt, holster
- Magazine pouches or magazine carrying system (Chest rig, Molle system, etc.)
- Eye & ear protection
- 3 magazines
- Weapon mounted light (optional, but recommended)
- Knee & elbow pads (optional)
- Rain gear
- Water or hydration device (Camelback)
- Pen & paper
Daily Schedule and Location
Class starts at 8:30 AM. Due to the low light instruction and courses of fire, this class will extend into darkness on day 1. On day 2, the course will end at approximately 5:00 PM.
All classes are taught at Lake Fork Sportsman's Club, 350 N. 1375 E., Atwood, IL, 61913 unless stated otherwise.
