CCW Concealed Carry
The CCW Concealed Carry course is a two (2) day, 16+ hour course designed to satisfy requirements set forth by the State of Illinois, to allow an individual to apply for a Concealed Carry License (CCL). The course combines classroom and range use through two days of instruction.
The curriculum offered during this course has been certified by the State of Illinois, and the instruction will be delivered by professional firearm trainers with significant law enforcement and training experience. All primary instructors have been certified by the State of Illinois as both CCL instructors and Master Firearm Instructors for law enforcement.
During the two day course, individuals are provided with a State of Illinois certified curriculum which covers more than the minimum requirements suggested by the Illinois State Police and State of Illinois.

- Legal issues
- Weapon safety
- Weapons handling
- Weapon presentation
- Sight alignment
- Sight picture
- Trigger press
- Speed loads
- Malfunction drills
- Weapons maintenance
- Safe storage
Please note that this course is a full 16 hour course, and we are not allowing an 8 hour exemption in these courses.
- State of Illinois ID and valid FOID card
- Weather appropriate attire
- Handgun (revolver or semi automatic)
- Minimum of 2 magazines or speed loaders
- Handgun Ammunition - 250 rounds
- Holster designed for weapon used in course
- Magazine or speed loader holder
- Eye/Ear protection
- Weapon cleaning kit
- Note taking material for class room portions
Daily Schedule and Location
Class starts at 8:00 AM and typically ends around 5:00 PM each day.
All classes are taught at Lake Fork Sportsman's Club, 350 N. 1375 E., Atwood, IL, 61913 unless stated otherwise.
