Pistol 1 - Civilian

Civilian Pistol 1

Every civilian is given the right to bear arms, but there is a distinction between knowing how to shoot a weapon and how to use a weapon properly in the defense of life. It is the responsibility of the civilian-shooter to acquire these skills. Our instructors will enhance the shooter's weapons skills and prepare their mind set should that day ever come.

Pistol 1 is a 2 day course that introduces new or inexperienced shooters to the proper mindset required for using a weapon. Pistol 1 students receive instruction on weapons safety, weapon nomenclature, marksmanship fundamentals, loading/unloading fundamentals and instruction on how to resolve weapon malfunctions. In addition, Pistol 1 provides a legal briefing on when deadly force is appropriate for personal defense.
