Tactical Carbine

This course applies principals of combat shooting to the world of semi-automatic rifles. Tactical carbine stresses efficiency, rapid target acquisition, and accuracy.

Tactical Carbine is a progressive and dynamic course that challenges the student’s ability and comfort level. Various shooting drills, techniques and movement techniques are designed to increase efficiency and survivability.

Course content includes fundamentals of close quarter battle (CQB), single and rapid fire evolutions, weapon handling / manipulation techniques, and weapon transition techniques.

Use of cover and dynamic positional shooting are utilized to reinforce skill and unusual positions. Varied distance targets out to 200 yards increase both ability and confidence.

This course is open to the general public, law enforcement, military and private security.



Required Equipment

  • 500 rounds of rifle ammunition
  • 50 rounds of pistol ammunition

Daily Schedule and Location

Class starts at 8:30 AM and typically ends around 5:00 PM each day.

All classes are taught at Lake Fork Sportsman's Club, 350 N. 1375 E., Atwood, IL, 61913 unless stated otherwise.
